Four new construction projects are planned
In its business plan, SWG has agreed on these targets for the years 2025 to 2029 with its shareholder, the city of Friedrichshafen. According to von Kolzenberg, there are four projects in total. One of them is already under construction: SWG is currently building an apartment building with 14 residential units on around 1,100 square metres of rental space on Gangolfstraße in Kluftern. The topping-out ceremony will take place in April this year, with completion planned for early 2026.
Serial construction on Paulinenstraße
Work is finally set to begin this year on Paulinenstraße: SGW has been planning a new construction project on plots 15 to 21 for some time. Demolition work is scheduled to begin in the first half of 2025. SWG would like to implement a concept for serial construction at this location. As a member of the German Association of Housing and Real Estate Companies (GdW), SWG can draw on the GdW's Serial Construction 2.0 framework tender and implement a largely standardised construction method. ‘Of course, adjustments will have to be made for our specific project,’ says von Kolzenberg. ‘We will see how this affects the project based on the bids.’
