SWG Managing Director Alrik von Kolzenberg accepted the chamber's certificate during the award ceremony at the Regional Innovation and Technology Transfer Centre (RITZ). The seven buildings were designed by architect Ludwig Harter from the Harter und Kanzler firm (Freiburg) and built by general contractor Georg Reisch (Bad Saulgau).
All-round successful solutions
‘The overall concept creates a high-quality and robust building system that can be easily adapted to changing uses and promises a versatile, lively neighbourhood life in the interplay of living and working,’ according to the jury's statement. In cooperation with the Lake Constance district, the Baden-Württemberg Chamber of Architects awarded prizes to construction projects from 2018 to 2024 that represent ‘all-round successful solutions to the respective construction task’. The patron was District Administrator Luca Wilhelm Prayon. The jury, chaired by Susanne Dürr, architect, professor at Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences and vice-president of the Baden-Württemberg Chamber of Architects, spent two days visiting the 74 submitted properties and ultimately awarded 26 prizes.
